Getting started
Getting started
Invite the bot, run /setup and sign in to the web dashboard.
Tikkora gives your Discord server private support tickets, an optional AI assistant that learns from your team, and a web dashboard to see everything. You can be up and running in a few minutes: invite the bot, run /setup, and you have a working support panel.
Invite the bot#
Use the Add to Discord button on the home page. The invite only asks for the permissions the bot needs: creating private threads (or ticket channels), posting the panel, staff notes and transcripts. You need the Manage Server permission in a server to add a bot to it.
When the bot joins, it posts a short welcome in your system channel (or the first channel it can write in) with a button to start setup.
Run /setup#
/setup opens a guided wizard that only you can see. You click through it step by step; nothing is saved until the last step, Review & publish. If you close it halfway, nothing changes.
- 1
Template
Pick a starting point: Minecraft SMP, Community or Blank. It fills in categories and sensible defaults you can change later.
- 2
Channels
Choose where tickets live (private threads or a channel per ticket), the support channel that holds the panel, the staff channel for notifications and an optional transcripts channel. Don’t have them yet? Press Create channels and the bot makes them for you, with the right permissions.
- 3
Support team
Pick the roles for each tier: Support, Staff and Management. See Team roles & permissions.
- 4
Categories
What players can open tickets about, with an emoji, a description and optional form questions. See Categories & forms.
- 5
Branding (optional)
Bot nickname, accent colour, logo, footer and the panel’s look.
- 6
Knowledge sources (optional)
Give the assistant your rules, FAQ or docs to read. See Knowledge sources.
- 7
AI assistant (optional)
Turn the assistant on and choose per category what it may do. See AI assistant.
- 8
Integrations (optional)
Connect a game server panel or plugin. See Integrations & actions.
- 9
Review & publish
The bot checks everything, saves it, posts the support panel and gives your staff roles access to the staff and transcripts channels. From here you can also send a test ticket, which cleans itself up after two minutes.
Templates#
| Template | Categories | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Minecraft SMP | General help, Whitelist & access, Bug report, Store & payments, Player report, Ban appeal | Game servers. Reports, payments and appeals start with the AI blocked, and reports and payments gather details first. |
| Community | General help, Report a member, Partnership | Discord communities. Reports start with the AI blocked. |
| Blank | One “Support” category | Building everything yourself. |
After setup#
/configreopens any area of the setup, plus advanced ones like Ticket behaviour. Changes are saved when you publish again. When a change affects the panel, the old panel is removed and a fresh one is posted at the bottom of the support channel./statuschecks that the bot can use every channel you picked, lists your roles and shows ticket counts and AI progress. Run it whenever something seems off.- If someone deletes a configured channel or the last staff role, the bot removes it from the settings and posts a “Ticket setup needs attention” message with a Fix it button.
Sign in to the dashboard#
Press Sign in with Discord on the home page. The dashboard only asks Discord who you are, nothing else. You then see every server where the bot is installed and you have a support role (or Manage Server).
What you can open depends on your tier: Support sees the overview and tickets; Management also sees costs, data, the audit log and Settings. See Using the dashboard.
Discord or the dashboard?
Both edit the same settings with the same rules, so use whichever you like. The dashboard is easier for long texts (guidance, messages, form questions); Discord is handy when you are already in your server. Knowledge sources and integrations are managed in Discord.
Where to go next#
- Tickets & the panel: how tickets open, get claimed and close.
- How the AI works: a plain-language tour of the assistant.
- Commands: every slash command on one page.
